Navigate the animal details page to manage all aspects of an animal's profile
The Animal Details Page
The animal details page is your central hub for managing everything about an animal in your organization's care. Access it by clicking on any animal from the Animal Management list.
Page Layout
The page has two main areas:
Tabs - Switch between different aspects of the animal's record:
- Overview - Basic info, behavior, and compatibility
- Foster Management - Foster placement and volunteer coordination (if enabled)
- Medical Records - Vet bills and health history
- Events - Calendar events and transport history
- Files - Documents and uploaded files
- Adoption - Public profile, interested adopters, and adoption status
Sidebar - Quick actions and metadata:
- Edit Animal Details button
- Generate AI Profile
- Embed Widget configuration
- Photo upload
- Team assignment
- Record timestamps
Role-Based Access
Different roles see different features:

Animal Statuses
Animals can have the following statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ACCEPTED | Accepted into rescue, intake processing |
| AVAILABLE | Ready for adoption |
| FOSTERED | Currently in foster care |
| IN_TRANSPORT | Being transported |
| PENDING_ADOPTION | Adoption in progress |
| MEDICAL_HOLD | On hold for medical treatment |
| BEHAVIORAL_HOLD | On hold for behavioral assessment |
| ADOPTED | Successfully adopted |
| TRANSFERRED | Moved to another organization |
| RETURNED | Returned after adoption |
| LOST | Animal is missing |
| DECEASED | Animal has passed |
You can change an animal's status from the Edit dialog or the Adoption tab.
