General Settings

The General Settings page allows you to manage your organization's core information, including its name, logo, and verification status.

Your organization's logo appears throughout Transfur and helps identify your rescue to volunteers, adopters, and other users.

Navigate to Settings → General
In the Logo section, click Upload Logo
Select an image file from your computer (JPG, PNG recommended)
The logo will automatically be uploaded and saved

Logo Requirements

  • File Types: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
  • Recommended Size: 400x400 pixels minimum
  • File Size: Maximum 5MB
  • Aspect Ratio: Square logos work best

To remove your current logo:

  1. Click the Remove button next to your current logo
  2. Confirm the removal when prompted
  3. Your organization will revert to the default avatar

Organization Verification

Verification adds credibility to your organization and may unlock additional features.

What is Verification?

Verified organizations have been confirmed as legitimate animal rescue operations. This status:

  • Displays a verification badge on your organization's profile
  • Increases trust with volunteers and adopters
  • May provide access to additional features

Requesting Verification

Ensure your organization information is complete and accurate
In the Verification Status section, click Request Verification
Fill out the verification request form with your organization's legal name, Tax ID or registration number, primary contact information, and brief description of your rescue operations
Submit the form for review

Verification Process

After submitting your request:

  1. The Transfur team will review your application
  2. Additional documentation may be requested
  3. Verification typically takes 3-5 business days
  4. You'll receive an email notification once reviewed

Verification Requirements

To qualify for verification, organizations typically need:

  • Active 501(c)(3) status or equivalent
  • Established rescue operations
  • Complete organization profile
  • Valid contact information

Organization Details

While the organization name and other core details are managed elsewhere, the General Settings page provides a central location to review and update your organization's public-facing information.

What Can Be Updated

  • Organization display name

  • Contact information
  • Website and social media links

Troubleshooting

Logo Upload Issues

If you're having trouble uploading a logo:

  • Check the file size (must be under 5MB)
  • Try a different file format
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  • Clear your browser cache and try again

Verification Delays

If your verification is taking longer than expected:

  • Check your email for additional requests
  • Ensure all required information was provided
  • Contact support if it's been more than 7 business days
  • Members - Manage who can update organization settings
  • Features - Enable features that may require verification
  • Billing - Some billing features may require verification
