Transfur App ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about users of our platform, which connects animal rescue organizations and volunteers to coordinate rescue transport and foster homes.

  • Organization affiliation (if applicable)

We automatically collect certain data through your use of the platform:

  • Pages visited
  • Activity and interaction logs

c. Communication

If you contact us or receive updates from us (via email or SMS), we may keep a record of those communications.

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Transfur App
  • Connect volunteers with rescue or foster opportunities
  • Send updates, reminders, and logistics messages
  • Improve our services and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We strictly limit data sharing to:

  • Within Transfur Platform: With other users only when necessary for coordinating rescue transport or foster arrangements
  • Service Providers: Only with vendors who help us operate Transfur (e.g., hosting, email/SMS delivery) under strict confidentiality agreements
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety

We explicitly DO NOT:

  • Share your information for marketing purposes
  • Share your information for lead generation
  • Share your information with third-party analytics services
  • Sell or rent your personal data to any third parties
  • Share your phone number with affiliates for any purpose

We take appropriate security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

5. SMS Communications and Opt-In

Phone Number Collection

When you provide your phone number on Transfur, you may receive:

  • Transport coordination messages
  • Foster opportunity notifications
  • Time-sensitive rescue alerts
  • Account security messages

SMS Opt-In and Consent

By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box, you explicitly opt in to receive text messages from Transfur. Message frequency varies based on your volunteer activities. Message and data rates may apply.

SMS Opt-Out

  • Text STOP to any Transfur message to opt out of SMS communications
  • Text HELP for assistance
  • You can also manage SMS preferences in your account settings
  • Opt-out requests are processed immediately via the same 10DLC number used for messaging

Important: We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We NEVER share your phone number or mobile opt-in data with third parties, affiliates, or marketing partners.

6. Opt-Out and Data Control

You can update or remove your ZIP code and phone number at any time through your account settings. You can also manage your communication preferences, including opting out of being contacted about volunteer opportunities, directly from your settings page.

You have the right to:

  • Update or correct your profile information
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
  • Toggle SMS/phone contact preferences in your settings
  • Request that we delete your account and personal data

Transfur respects your privacy, and we never share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
